Volvo CE: Bringing mining solutions together in a new dedicated business
Volvo Group is bringing trucks, construction equipment and autonomous solutions together in a new dedicated business for the mining industry. Volvo Mining will launch in January 2027 within Volvo Construction Equipment, initially focusing on customers in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Mining operations depend on multiple machines, vehicles and systems working together across excavation, loading and transport. Bringing these capabilities into a more integrated offering creates an interesting platform for the system-level solutions needed as mines move towards increasingly automated and electrified operations.
